SSEB Subsidy 2026: opportunities for zero-emission operations on the water
Electric operations on the water are becoming an increasingly realistic option. With the reopening of the SSEB subsidy in 2026, organisations once again have financial scope to invest in zero-emission construction vessels. For water authorities, contractors and other water management professionals, now is the moment to turn plans into action.
From 3 March 2026, applications can be submitted again for:
This scheme is designed to accelerate the transition to zero-emission equipment. However, the available budget is limited, making good preparation essential.
From 12 May 2026, applications will also open for SSEB Innovation (experimental development). This offers additional opportunities for organisations working on further development or pilot projects.
During the webinar, RVO will explain the revised conditions and provide guidance on submitting a successful application.
Making the transition to electric operations on the water requires more than a subsidy alone. Reliability, operational availability and practical applicability are equally important.
Electric mowing vessels, such as the Conver C485-E, are designed for daily professional use in water management. Being fully zero-emission and whisper-quiet, they not only support sustainability targets but also contribute to a comfortable and future-proof working environment.
Organisations intending to apply for the SSEB subsidy are advised to prepare quotations and project information well in advance. This allows applications to be submitted immediately upon opening, increasing the likelihood of approval.
Are you considering investing in zero-emission equipment for operations on the water? Now is the time to gain insight into both the technical possibilities and the financial framework.
